Urbain Some´

Played for Burkina Faso earning starting spots on the Junior and Senior National teams. As a mid-fielder he also played for some of the biggest teams in Burkina Faso.

  • Urbain came to Ottawa, Canada, to play in the Jeux de la Francophonie in 2001
  • Urbain proceeded to play with the Ottawa Wizards in 2002 & 2003

  • Urbain's Wizards won the the Canadian Professional Soccer League (CPSL) in 2002 & 2003
  • Urbain coached and was the captain for St. Anthony's men's premiere soccer team in 2005 & 2006
  • Urbain's team at St. Anthony's won the Ottawa League Championship, Ontario Cup (Toronto), CPSL Cup (Toronto) and the Canada Cup (in Vancouver) in 2006
  • Urbain played for Toronto Lynx Soccer Club (A League) in 2006

  • Urbain completed Coaching Certificate Level 1 (2002), Level 2 (2004), Senior Coaching Certificate (2007)
  • Since 2005, Urbain has coached many children's development clinics, and he has coached many boys and girls teams in Nepean and Gatineau
  • Urbain coached the University of Quebec men's soccer team from 2007 to present
  • Since 2008, Urbain has coached the University of Quebec women's soccer team
  • Urbain coached the Boys 15 AA & Boys 16 AA; both teams finished as league champions (Lac St. Louis) in 2010. The Boys 16 AA were also winners of the 26th National Tournament Club Chaussures (Quebec)
  • In 2010, Urbain was awarded "Best Coach of the Year" in the Outaouais
  • Since 2011, Urbain has been a coach with West Ottawa Soccer with the Regional L3 BU16 and BU15 boys
